Misfortunes of Ukrainian rescue mission in Nepal continue: landing gear damaged while landing in Delhi

Translated by Kristina Rus

The plane evacuating Ukrainian citizens from Nepal damaged landing gear during landing in Delhi, reported “Ukrainian Pravda”.

Despite the incident, no one was injured during landing. The crew has replaced the landing gear.

However, it is unknown when the plane will once again leave for Ukraine. Tuesday night Ukrainian citizens were finally evacuated from Nepal.

Earlier, the Ukrainian rescue mission, headed by Ukrainian Minister of Emergency Situations, was stranded in Delhi for several days, because the plane broke, and a wrong part was delivered from Ukraine.

“I would not rush to return to Ukraine. It’s arguable where it is worse now – in Nepal or Ukraine …”
