Happy Victory Day from Crimea, Fort Russ friends and readers! 

RT reports: 

“The Victory Day parade, commemorating the defeat of the Nazis by Soviet and allied forces on May 9 1945, was attended by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya in Simferopol on Saturday. Alongside the regular military units, Poklonskaya led a battalion of law enforcement on the parade through the city, as both of her grandfathers died in WWII.”

Marching the procession of the regional patriotic NGO “Immortal regiment”, where family members of the fallen carry pictures of their relatives, in Simferopol, Crimea, prosecutory Natalia Poklonskaya said that for her this is the meaning of Victory Day.
