Zakharchenko: DNR – The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, said that the DNR is an independent state and will not return to the structure of Ukraine.
“Whatever happened in Minsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic is an independent state and will never revert to Ukraine. Between us, there is blood,” said Zakharchenko during a spontaneous meeting in Donetsk, where civilians demanded that the authorities ward off Kiev’s bombardment of their city.
“Tonight they shelled the Kirovsky district of Donetsk and the city of Gorlovka. Ten people were injured. They fired 152-mm guns,” said Zakharchenko.
He acknowledged that the militias were shooting back.
“We shot back in reply, it is true. Our task – to make sure that the enemy suffered the punishment they had coming to them,” said the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
