More than 500 civilians were killed in Donbass since the start of the ceasefire, – the People’s Militia of Lugansk Republic.

More than 500 civilians were killed in Donbass since February 15, 2015, when, in accordance with the “Complex of measures on implementation of the Minsk agreements” a ceasefire was imposed in the region.

This was reported by the People’s Militia of LPR.

Earlier the Office of the UN High Commissioner for human rights cited data from May 3rd of this year, that during the war in the Ukraine 10 243 people were killed, another 15 615 were injured.

According to the representative of the People’s militia, during this same time, the Ukrainian security forces violated the ceasefire regime more than 9 thousand times. Including 1,200 strikes of settlements.

The People’s militia also noted that because of the shelling of the Ukrainian security forces of Donbass settlements innocent children were killed. In the zone of the so-called “anti-terrorist operation” 70 children were killed and more than 200 were injured.

In particular, paragraph 1 of this document provided for the “immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine and its strict implementation starting from 00: 00 (Kiev time) on February 15, 2015.”

In addition the document provided for the creation of a security zone of at least 50 km, for which the parties agreed to withdraw artillery systems of 100 mm caliber or more.
