Transcarpathia has been de facto autonomous from Kiev for 20 years – Kiev analyst

Kiev suddenly realized: Crimea, Donbass, Transcarpathia is next

Throughout all the years of independence Transcarpathia was part of Ukraine only geographically, and actually lived by own laws, said on “Gromadske  TV” political analyst Andrey Zolotarev.

According to him, Kiev received “profits” from Transcarpathia, and in response, it turned a blind eye to smuggling and de facto autonomy of the region.

“It is not popular to write and talk about that, as about Donbass and Crimea. Transcarpathia for all these 20 years has lived by “Mukachevo” laws, but not Ukrainian. Alas, this is the sad reality and truth of life. Some crumbs, of course, went to Kiev, as it preferred not to notice anything for a long time,”  – said Zolotarev.
