More than 800 terrorist targets have been destroyed since Russian Air Force operations in Syria started September 30. Due to the growing demand for the supply of military weapons for the operation in Syria, the corporation “Tactical Rocket Weapons” [Тактическое ракетное вооружение] has gone to work in three shifts. To deliver the goods in Tartus the Russian Navy promptly bought up eight transport ships from Turkish shipowners, enrolling the ships in the lists of auxiliary vessels to give them military status: large landing ships were not enough.

Bashar al-Assad said at a meeting with Russian parliamentarians, who were on a humanitarian mission in Damascus, that the Activities of the Russian Air Force exceeded all expectations for their effectiveness.

Dmitriy Sablin, a member of the Committee on Defense and Security of the Federation Council of Russia, spoke on some of the topics of discussion.

Sablin “It’s a matter of working together in the oil and gas sector. It is the restoration of Syria.” He expressed hope for a qualitative study of the matter and, indeed, confirmed our willingness to to get going on any type of economic cooperation with the Syrian side.

Bashar Assad also observed that Russia’s position in its relationship with Syria, and its involvement in operations against the terrorists, will help determine the future of the region. He invited Russian companies to work in the country to rebuild its economy and infrastructure. According to senator Dmitry Sablin, such cooperation is beneficial for our country, measurable in the hundreds of billions of dollars.
