Ukraine moves tanks and missile launchers to the front line

Donetsk, 5 October. Ukrainian forces deployed T-64 tanks and multiple “Grad” rocket launchers to 10 km from the line of contact. This is according to the intelligence gathered by the corps’ deputy commander,  Deputy Defense Minister of the DPR, Eduard Basurin .

“According to our intelligence, to the village Novoselovka, 10 km from the line of contact, we noted the arrival of the two units of T-64 – and four units of MLRS BM-21 Grad” – said the representative of the Ministry of Defense.

In addition, in ‘pionerlagere’ near Donetsk a few hundred fighters of private military companies were placed, that Kiev sent to the conflict zone, said Eduard Basurin.

“In the village Krasnogorovka, 3 km from the line of contact, in the area of the park and recreation center of “Berezka” we have located the arrival of 400 troops”, – he said.

Intelligence confirmed that the security forces used public facilities to accommodate personnel. “In case of resumption of active hostilities, commanders of units of the security forces, with the aim of self-preservation, have tried to hide behind children”, – said Eduard Basurin.

At the same time a few days ago, Ukrainian security officials announced the beginning of the withdrawal of weapons, including tanks – T-64 and T-72, anti-tank guns D-48 and D-44 caliber 85 mm mortars 2B-9 caliber 82 mm from the contact line. The process of removal of weapons will be divided into two phases and will last 41 weeks.
