National artist of Ukraine and former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the nationalist party Svoboda, Bogdan Benyuk, is convinced that even those citizens who are defending Ukraine are helping the enemy if they speak in Russian.

“I’m told – it doesn’t matter what language a person speaks if he is defending Ukraine. But when you speak the language of the occupier, are you not helping to promote the occupier on this territory? Even the president of Russia said: Russia ends where the Russian language ends. That is, it is necessary to defend ourselves and assert the sound of the Ukrainian language,” Benyuk said live on NewsOne channel.

We recall that Bogdan Benyuk is known to the Russian audiences from the film “Kandahar,” where he played a Ukrainian pilot.
