Administrator of extremist Chechen website “Kavkaz Center” killed in Turkey

Abdulwahid Edelgeriev, a terrorist and a relative of one of the main ideologists of Wahhabism in Chechnya, Movladi Udugov, was shot by the unknown in Turkey, reports Turkish publication International Press Medya. 

“The murder happened right in front of the house of Edelgeriev, when he was returning from the mosque after the prayer,” – informs the source. “According to witnesses of the crime, there were two attackers. After a few shots Edelgeriev’s killers disappeared, the police is looking for them.” 

According to the authorities, a native of Chechnya, who left at the end of the 90’s for Turkey, Abdulwahid Edelgeriev was well known among terrorists by the nickname “Redhead”. He was married to the daughter of the militant of Isa Umarov, curator of the banned extremist group “Caucasus Emirate” in Syria. Also Edelgeriev was a personal security guard of Isa Umarov. Abdulvahid Edelgeriev, according to Turkish security forces was also an administrator of a large online resource of militants “Kavkazcenter” [ “Caucasus Center” – rus.]. It is prohibited in Russia, as it is recognized as extremist.
