From January 1, 2016, Ukraine will put a complete ban on men under the age of 45 leaving the country. This was reported by the Ukrainian magazine “Voice of Truth” with references to its own source in the SBU.

According to the source, the reason for this is the necessity of realizing the seventh mobilization wave announced by the General Staff of Ukraine, which is allegedly necessitated by acute military confrontation in Donbass. However, in the conditions of rapidly falling living standards, many have the impressions that the war is simply profitable for the current Ukrainian government.

It has also been reported that the UAF will not allow servicemen to return home whose contracts have ended, on account of a “special period” in the country.

“From January, 2016, immediately after the holidays, the seventh wave of mobilization will begin. This has been neither officially spoken about nor denied. But it has already been brought before military commanders. An important detail is that fighters will sign contracts for six months, but the UAF will not end contracts even if they’ve already finished due to a special period in the country. Whether you want or not, you will serve,” the magazine quotes the source from the SBU.
