Ukrainian soldiers stood in two rows on one side toward the village Chaplinka, and opposite them – peninsula blockade activists, and members of volunteer groups.

“The National Guard are not going leave off from their support, before instructing activists on the use of automatic rifles. The regulars were beating activists, elderly Crimean Tatars, and they even kicked women. The whole area of the village Chaplinka is patrolled by National Guard vehicles and they’re not letting any vehicles in or out “, – reported Barbara Chernoivanenko, deputy head of the Right Sektor information center.

Further, according to Chernoivanenko, about ten people have been hurt, however, they have not yet called in medical help.

Refat Chubarov, the Mejlis leader of the Crimean Tatars, asked the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers on November 3 to disconnect Crimea’s electricity. Earlier, the MP said that the peninsula is 70% dependent on electricity from Ukraine.

The Russian FSB for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has initiated a criminal case against Lenura Islyamova, one of the organizers of the so-called food blockade of the Peninsula..

In September members of Right Sektor — an extremist group banned in Russia — began a food blockade of Crimea.
