At 13:20, on the road between Pervomaisk and Stakhanov, shortly after attending a wedding, Pavel Dremov, the legendary commander of the sixth separate motorized infantry of the Cossack regiment, was assassinated via a car bomb. The explosion occurred at the entrance to a gas station. Pavel Dremov died on the spot. According to preliminary data, the driver, Dremova survived. The Prosecutor General and the Minister of Emergency Situations arrived on the site of the explosion. The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Corps National Police of LPR, Igor Yashchenko, presented a statement which claimed Dremov’s murder was a terrorist attack by Ukrainian security forces.
