The OSCE SMM’s press-service has reported that the Special Monitoring Mission of the OSCE has not found witnesses to the arrests of Krasnogorovka residents carried out several days ago by the SBU.
A source reports that on December 11 the SMM noted media reports on large-scale operations conducted by the UAF and SBU on December 9 in Krasnogorovka.
The SMM saw five UAF foot patrols (each with 3-4 soldiers) with full gear and weaponry in the city.
In addition, on December 10 the Donetsk SMM OSCE team did not record a single violation of the ceasefire in the Donetsk airport district. On December 11, the SMM recorded an increase in the number of violations of the ceasefire in comparison to the previous day…
On December 10, the SMM conducted a crater analysis in several places. In the Ukro-government controlled Krasnogorovka, Zoryan, and Aleksandropol, SMM observers conducted the analysis of five craters. They found that four of them (two in Zoryan and two in Aleskandropol) were formed as a result of falling MLRS missiles (BM-21 Grad’s, 122mm), as evidenced by fragments found on the ground.
According to the analysis of the SMM, the craters found in the city of Krasnogorovka were formed by falling 125mm tank shells, but the exact trajectory was not determined due to the impossibilities of determining the size of the fuse. The SMM has determined that all the craters were not former earlier than 48 hours ago, and local residents also confirmed that there was shelling on December 8 and 9.
At the request of representatives of the UAF and the Joint Center for Coordination and Control (JCCC), on December 11 the SMM observed the return of the body of a UAF soldier 700 meters from UAF positions in Lugansk near the contact line.
According to representatives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to the JCCC, the soldier was killed when he stepped on an improvised explosive object. At one of the observation points in the village, the SMM observed two UAF soldiers carrying the body on a stretcher.
The second SMM patrol in carried controlled by the DPR near Logvinovo on the other side of the contact line carried out the monitoring of compliance with the ceasefire in order to ensure the transport of the body.
On December 10, in DPR-controlled Debaltsevo, the SMM visited a hospital which was previously funded by the “Ukrzaliznytsya” enterprise, and in one of the parts of the hospital which was necessary to repair, the SMM recorded damage to the ceiling of the building in the form of two holes, one of which had fragments from an MLRS missile (according to observers: 122mm Grad).
The SMM met with the chief doctor, who said that the hospital is experiencing a shortage in supplies, particularly anesthetics, physiotherapy equipment, surgical lamps, and vehicles for the transportation of patients. According to him, the hospital last received humanitarian aid in September and only one operation room out of three is operating to the lack of ceiling lights. In addition, the source said that the sick department of the hospital was in need of repair due to substantial damage from attacks.
