In the Russian Federation, a governmental decree, published on the official portal of legal information approved by the Ministry of Justice, contains the sentence “The Turkish party received a notice of intention from the Russian Federation wishing not to become a party named on the Treaty on mutual legal assistance in civil, commercial and criminal matters, signed in Ankara on 15th December 1997”. This proposal was agreed with the Foreign Ministry, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The Cabinet decided to submit to the President a proposal regarding the relevant notification.
