The statement of Turkish officials about the awareness of the number of missions of the Russian Federation in Syria can be considered “official acknowledgement” that the destruction of the Su-24 was planned, said the official representative of the Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov, at a briefing on Wednesday.

Konashenkov noted reports by the Turkish media, which, with reference to the official representative of the government of the country, Numan Kurtulmus, published accurate data on the number of sorties of the Russian air force in Syria.

According to Konashenkov, this suggests that the command of the U.S. air force transferred to the Turkish General staff all the information that Russia provided to the U.S. side.

“Thus, on the 24th November, when the Turkish fighter treacherously attacked our Su-24 missile bomber, the Turkish General staff was well aware of how, at what time and in which area to perform a combat mission against a couple of Russian bombers”, — said the representative of the defense Ministry.

“The words of  Numan Kurtulmus can be considered the official Turkish recognition of the fact of a pre-planned operation to destroy Russian aircraft in the Syrian skies, and the murder of Russian soldiers”, — said Konashenkov.

Relations of Russia and Turkey are in crisis after November 24, where a Turkish F-16 fighter was shot down in Syria su-24. The Russian President Vladimir Putin called it a “stab in the back” by the accomplices of terrorists. After the incident, the head of the Russian Federation signed a decree on measures to ensure national security and special economic measures against Turkey.
