2015 Was Good for the Russian Military

The Russian Ministry of Defense has published a final report for 2015, which lists new military equipment provided to the armed forces.
According to the findings, the Russian army is 47% equipped with the latest technology. The Ministry reported that by 2020 it plans to increase this share to 70%.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, the state defence orders were fulfilled by approximately 96% last year.
Of the new products in the strategic missile forces (RVSN) – there are six missile regiments, equipped with stationary and mobile missile complexes RS-24 “YARS”.
Air force received two strategic missile-bombers Tu-160M, three strategic missile-bombers Tu-95MS and five long-range supersonic bombers Tu-22M3.
The navy received two strategic underwater rocket cruisers type 955 “Borey” – K-550 “Alexander Nevsky” and K-551 “Vladimir Monomakh”.
Strategic nuclear forces of Russia received 35 new intercontinental ballistic missiles. Six air-force and air-defense armies and three aviation divisions have been reformed, 12 new aviation regiments formed.
In 2016 the Russian Defense Ministry plans to deliver missile complexes “Iskander-M” and MLRS “Tornado-C” as well as “Buk-M3”.
