Former neurosurgeon and presidential candidate of the USA Ben Carson was embarrassed during the debate of the Republican party, literally calling the Russian President “a one-horse (that is run down— RT) country”.
Answering the question about Russia and foreign policy, Carson repsonded by slurring the phrase “Putin is a one horse, er, country. Oil and energy”, writes the Huffington Post. The combination of one-horse is often used in the United States to mean “impoverished”, “poor”, “having only one horsepower”. After “one horse” Carson, presumably, has combined two items: oil and energy. Users of social networks hastened to respond to the embarrassing Carson.

In his speech, Carson also, for some reason, listed some of the Baltic States, not related to Russia. At the conclusion of his speech, Carson read out the preamble to the U.S. Constitution, and then said “enough” and ended the debate.
