Maria Zakharova Wins Award “For Openness to the Media”

The Union of journalists of Moscow handed Maria Zakharova the award for “openness to the media.” The Russian Foreign Ministry wrote this on their page on Facebook.
“Today was a pretty big honor. The Union of journalists of Moscow presented the award “For the openness of the press.” It is very important to me, and our success as a whole, and if to be completely honest, my home Department of information and press of the Foreign Ministry, as well as many diplomats working in Moscow and abroad, especially in hotspots, where information is most in demand”, – stated the message of Zakharova.
On the 22nd January, in the capital, a grand award ceremony was held for the “Golden pen”. The media company “Red star” won the prestigious award of the Union of journalists. The professional jury noted the work of the correspondents of TV channel “Zvezda” Maxim Gritsenko and operator Vyacheslav Amelyutina, who were in Syria for several months. The crew of the TV channel repeatedly led the news from the front.
The award of “Golden pen” was handed to the President of the media company “Red star” Alexei Pimanova.
