The head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs, Alexei Pushkov, has commented on the post of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Twitter with a fabricated photograph of the magazine The Economist.

“The Chronicles of Narnia: Poroshenko seriously see himself on the cover of The next Есоnomist with the leaders of Germany, USA, India, China… Dreams, far from reality,” — wrote Pushkov on his page on Twitter.

Earlier Poroshenko posted a photo of the cover of the American magazine, in which he is depicted in a row with world leaders. The Ukrainian President in the caption of the photo stated that such “gifts”  he sees “not as a compliment, but as a personal responsibility”. The cover of the supposed 30th edition of the publication is devoted to the forecasts for 2017 – The 2017 World (“the World in 2017” approx – ed).

However, the original cover of this 30th edition posted on the official website of The Economist,  is devoted to the experts’ forecasts for 2016 – and it depicts Russian leader Vladimir Putin. In the “Ukrainian” version the President of Russia was decidedly cut out. A few hours after the tweet was published the administration of the Ukrainian President on Twitter deleted it.
