Roscosmos showed the future of the Earth in four billion years
Collision of Milky Way with Andromeda will lead to the formation of a single galaxy. This process is inevitable, because the galaxies are moving towards each other.
Roscosmos [Russian Space Agency] created a video which showed what will happen to the Earth in four billion years when the Milky Way galaxy will collide with the Andromeda galaxy. The video was posted on the channel of the Space Agency on YouTube.
The collision with Andromeda, which is 2.5 million light years from the Milky Way, will lead to the formation of a single galaxy. This process is inevitable, because the galaxies are moving towards each other.
According to astrophysicist Rashid Sunyaev, as a result of this event Earth “will be thrown out from the plane of our galaxy”.
