Iranian diplomats were given 72 hours to leave the country.

On Thursday, January 7, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Iran. The Ministry blamed the fact that Tehran is allegedly interfering in their internal affairs.

This week three more countries cut diplomatic relations with Tehran, in addition to Saudi Arabia itself. First Bahrain, then Sudan and later Kuwait. UAE reduced the level of contacts with Tehran.
