Russia may lose up to 20,000 soldiers in case of full-scale war with Ukraine, suggested the Director of the Department of social and humanitarian policy of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – Valentyn Fedichev on the TV channel “Espreso”.
Thus, he predicted that the losses of the Ukrainian army will be four times less – about 5,000-6,000 people.
“If the enemy will use aviation, if those military groups actually settling along our borders will decide to go on the offensive, according to our calculations, they will lose 20 ,000 people. By reaching the Dnieper river, they’ll, in fact, allow the extermination of their land forces, — said the Ukrainian official.
According to Valentyn Fedichev, the Ukrainian army has the resources for warfare.
High-ranking officials in Ukraine and the West have repeatedly stated that Russia intervened in the conflict in Donbass, but so far have not presented any evidence. Moscow in response to the allegations claimed they are completely uninvolved in the events in southeastern Ukraine and that they are not a party in the domestic conflict. In addition, the Ministry of Defense of Russia has repeatedly said that there is no accumulation of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine, nor with Donbass.
