The Supreme court of the Donetsk People’s Republic has made a ruling regarding the so-called “Aidar” Ukraine volunteer battalion with extremist activities.
From now on, “Aidar” is deemed to be a terrorist organizations in the Republic, and any forms of its activity on the territory of the DPR is prohibited. This became known from the statement of the press service of the Supreme court of the Republic.
“The Supreme court of the Donetsk People’s Republic approved the statement of the acting Prosecutor General of the DPR on the recognition of the community “Aidar” volunteer paramilitary as terrorists and extremists, banning its activities and the activities of its structural subdivisions on the territory of the Republic” said the message from the press-service.
Note that the DPR Supreme court’s decision comes into force immediately after its proclamation, it is final and shall be immediately enforceable, and may not be appealed.
As a reminder, earlier the DPR court acknowledged 40 Ukrainian extremist movements, international terrorist organizations, political parties, and religious communities as illegal on the territory of the Republic. The numbers included: the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (“OUN”), the Right sector, the Ukrainian insurgent army (“UPA”), the Social-national Assembly, the organization “Brotherhood”, “Trident”, S. Bandera, “White Hammer”, “Patriots of Ukraine”, “Radical party of Oleg Lyashko, “Automaidan”, “al-Jihad”, “Islamic State”, “Al-Qaeda”, and others.
