On April 26th, the US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland brought a plan for Ukraine’s surrender to Kiev. This was stated by the ex-minister of defense of the former Soviet republic, Anatoly Gritsenko.

Gritsenko stated: “The capitulation is planned for May-July. This is the word given to the Rada. Nuland brought a plan for surrender to Kiev and presented it to the fractions. She noted that Poroshenko himself agreed to this plan in Minsk – therefore, it is to be fulfilled. Now, they demand that Ukraine (1) adopt a separate law on elections for the occupied territories; (2) vote for amendments to the Constitution on a “special status”; (3) grant amnesty to fighters/terrorists/separatists; (4) hold elections on the occupied territories even despite the absence of Ukraine’s control over its state boarders and without the withdraw from Russian equipment and soldiers from Ukraine’s territories. This is exactly what Poroshenko signed (via Kuchma’’s hands) in Minsk.

The laws and amendments to the Constitution are required to be adopted in May, and elections are to be held in July. I don’t recall anything about Crimea because it was not mentioned in the Minsk Agreements. Knowing Poroshenko, I have no doubt that he will once again serve the Minsk surrender to the media on a platter as a victory, intimidating parliament with the threat of war and casualties.

However, everything is clear with Poroshenko. With his partners as well – they want to somehow muffle the problem, restore partnership with Russia, and quietly go for their own elections. So now the word for the Rada is such: without elections and decisions, neither Poroshenko nor his overseas partners will make any plans,” Gritsenko wrote on his Facebook page.
