The Crimean Prosecutor’s office has ruled to suspend the activities of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars. This was reported by TASS, citing the head of Department Natalia Poklonskaya.
Today I made the decision to suspend the activities of the public association “the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people” in order to prevent violations of Federal law, she said.
“The rights of the public association have been suspended. They are forbidden from using all state and municipal mass media, they are not able to carry out various mass public events, bank deposits, and generally from carrying out any work. All of their propaganda will be banned,” explained the Prosecutor of Crimea.
Earlier, Natalia Poklonskaya presented evidence at the court hearings in Crimea that the leaders of the “Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people”, Mustafa Dzhemilev, Refat Chubarov, and Lenur Islyamov were involved in sabotage against Crimea.
