Ukraine does not expect a “reboot” of relations with Russia, in any form, said Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin today during a meeting with representatives of the European Business Association and the American Chamber of Commerce.

“Of course, in the future we will overcome the armed conflict in the Donbass, but let’s try to be honest: we do not expect to restart any kind of Ukrainian-Russian relationship” — the words of Klimkin as reported by the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.
Russia’s relations with the West and Kiev have deteriorated because of the crisis in Ukraine. Kiev and the West accuse Russia of meddling in Ukraine’s internal affairs. Russia denies any wrongdoing and declares the charges unacceptable. Moscow has repeatedly claimed not to be a part of the Ukrainian internal conflict and not not to be involved in the events in the Donbass, but instead that its interest lies in Ukraine’s resolving its political and economic crises.
