The Russian President’s congratulations published on the Kremlin’s website says:

“The great feast of Easter awakens the best feelings in the hearts of millions of believers, and unites them around the eternal spiritual values of Orthodoxy and the centuries-old historical and cultural traditions of our people.

And of course, on this festive day, I would like to note the tremendous creative role of the Russian Orthodox Church in matters of education and charity, strengthening the moral foundations of society, and upbringing the younger generation.

The Church does a lot to solve pressing social problems and the preservation of the country’s inter-ethnic and inter-religious peace. This versatile, sought-after work deserves heartfelt recognition.”
