The President of the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic, Evgeny Shevchuk, stated to journalists on Monday that he hopes for reunification with Russia, as things were in the USSR.
The Transnistrian leader stated this to reporters after the military parade in honor of the 71st anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. The parade was participated in by servicemen of the Operative Group of Russian Forces (OGRV).
“Today is a unique parade. The first to participate in it were servicemen from the Russian group of forces. As is known, back in wartime, we all united regardless of nationality in order to defend our common homeland. This is what unites us. I believe that sooner or later, although sooner is better, we will live in one country,” Shevchuk stated.
