The State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting in Ukraine has prepared a draft law for the licensing of books made in Russia.

It will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada no later than September 2016, said Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kyrylenko on the air of channel 5.

“I plan to approve this over the summer in July-August, as I have this deadline in September to submit it to the Verkhovna Rada together with another package of government initiatives,” said Kirilenko, noting that the bill has been already submitted to the government for consideration.

According to him, changes in customs laws are also being prepared, to decrease the number of books allowed to be imported by citizens, which is currently 50 kg per person.

Earlier, at the initiative of Kyrylenko, radio stations were obliged to play every third song in the Ukrainian language.
