Parents of young dancers, stuck at Ataturk airport did not know that the children will fly from Bulgaria to Kazan via Istanbul. If they had known, they would never allow it. According to the mother of one of the members of the group, it was supposed to be a direct flight Moscow — Varna. As reported by TASS, the parents paid 50 thousand rubles for the flight.

The parents learned that kids are flying through Turkey from children’s texts sent after departure from Tatarstan. The children are accompanied only by their instructor. The trip was organized by the school. Currently, parents and children are staying in touch.

At the time of the explosion, according to the ombudsman of the Republic of Tatarstan Sariya Saburskaya, “they were all in the green zone of the airport”. According to the press service of the President of Tatarstan, the children will return home on the next flight of Turkish Airlines.

As reported, 43 people were killed in a terrorist attack at Ataturk airport. However, according to unofficial data, the number of victims reached 50 people. 147 people were wounded.
