Merkel demands that Poroshenko make “a decisive step” and implement Minsk Agreement

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, in a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, called upon him to make a decisive step in the implementation of the Minsk agreements, to resolve the situation in Ukraine and she noted that the political will for reconciliation should be shown by both sides of the conflict, as was stated publicly on Saturday by the official representative of the Cabinet of Germany, Ulrike Demmer. Demmer continued:

“The chancellor has expressed belief that the next few weeks must be used in order to make a decisive step forward. It is necessary for all parties to demonstrate the appropriate political will to reach an agreement, to make a decision”

It has been reported that the Chancellor spoke with Poroshenko on further ways to implement the agreements as a whole.
