Syrian troops are completing the blitzkrieg special operation of liberating the largest city in Syria, Aleppo.

Hezbollah’s press service has reported: “The Syrian army has made significant progress on several fronts in the remaining parts of the ‘Aleppo cauldron’, where militants are suffering large losses. The end of the battle is near.”

“The Syrian army is liberating the Qallase district,” Hezbollah reported with new, updated maps.

According to the latest reports, terrorist groups are fleeing from Bustan al-Qasr and Qallase to Al-Mashad, where they are left in a microscopic area. The official announcement of the total liberation of Aleppo could arrive in the next few hours. Meanwhile, the residents of the city are already celebrating the victory over the terrorists.

Ahmad Salekh, the head of the ruling Baath party, has stated: “Aleppo has been liberated from the terrorists; those militants who have remained in the Salaheddin neighborhood are surrounded and will soon surrender. Only a few hours remain until the announcement of the liberation of Aleppo.”

Meanwhile, the city’s residents have gone out onto the streets ahead of the official announcement and are publishing photos of festivities on social networks. Sputnik has quoted a celebrating Aleppo resident as saying: “Now there are many people on the streets despite the rain. There are traffic jams everywhere. People are hugging and congratulating each other on the liberation of the city and shots are being fired into the air in honor of the victory.”
