According to the field reports, about 1000 people, many of them terrorists, are leaving Al Waar district in the Syrian city of Homs.

Due to the agreement with the Syrian government, about 500 armed men and their families are said to be leaving district and will be towards Jarablus in the countryside of Aleppo.

Meanwhile the governor of Homs said the authorities will do all they can in order to provide social reintegration for those who laid down their arms.

Syrian opposition sources and activists claim that hundreds of militants from Al Waar will  head towards  Jarablus in order to join the Erdogan regime-funded armed groups.

The director of operations at the local Red Crescent in Homs ,said the ambulances have already headed to the area in order to take out the people in need, while also pointing out that evacuation of militants and their families is taking place without any problems.

According to the governor of Homs, 11 buses were headed to the problematic district so far in order to fulfill the third phase of the agreement which was reached on the 13th of March.

A source from the Syrian security service spoke to the German DPA press agency earlier on Saturday and confirmed that the first batch of armed militants, whose number is estimated to be around 500, will leave alongside their families for the town of Rastan located, north of Homs, as well as the provinces of Idleb and Aleppo. The source further added that the total number of the armed militants could be as high as 5000 and that many of them do not wish to lay down their arms as they prefer to stay in Al Waar district.

Al Waar is the last district of Homs that remained under terrorists control, despite the liberation of Homs back in May 2014. The terrorists stationed in Al Waar frequently fire rockets and mortars at the residential areas in Homs, often causing casualties.
