Online activists have released more photo and video material of the horrific bombing blast that devastated Al Rashideen, Syria on Saturday.
The bombing occurred at a parking space where several buses, carrying evacuated civilians from the besieged villages of Kefraya and Al Foua, were parked. More than a tonne of explosive was reportedly used in the blast.
The terrorist attack claimed the lives of more than 100 civilians, majority of them children. According to eyewitnesses, the terrorists lured the children out of the buses by teasing them with toys and sweets. As soon as the children started to approach them, the blasts were triggered.
No group has claimed responsibility so far, however, the mastermind behind the attack has since been identified as Hassan Khareeta, known as the son-in-law of Hani Saati, the largest financier of terrorist activities in Zabadani.
Khareeta, who was later killed in Idleb, was said to be among the terrorists from Zabadani that were given safe passage to go to Idleb and Jarablus in an exchange for the safe evacuation of civilians from the villages of Kefraya and Al Fouaa, located in the Idleb province, as part of the negotiations deal, brokered by Qatar, Iran and Russia.
