Explosion Targets SBU Agents in Kiev

At least one person was killed and two others were left injured after a car exploded in the Ukrainian capital city of Kiev.

According to Kiev Police spokeswoman Oksana Blischik, an explosion of a car rocked the Somoloinski district Kiev, killing the driver and injuring two other people.

Blischik said the police and emergency vehicles have already been dispatched to the scene.

Sources at Ukrainian Interior Ministry said the bombing targeted agents of the Ukrainian security service, known as SBU, without giving further details.

The Ukrainian authorities described the incident as an “act of terrorism.”
