Terrorist group ISIS has taken responsibility for two terror attacks that devastated the Iranian capital city of Tehran on Wednesday morning when terrorists stormed the building of Iranian Parliament and, around the same time, also the tomb of Imam Khomeini, located about 20 km away from Iranian Parliament.

Speaking to IRIB, Iran’s national broadcaster, the Iranian Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs, Hossein Zolfaghari, said four gunmen, disguised as women, made an incursion into the premises of Iran’s parliament building and opened fire on security guards there.

At least two security guards were killed and 8 other people were left wounded.

Two wives of parliamentary representatives are said to have been taken as hostages.

A suicide bomber reportedly blew himself up while being holed-up on the fourth floor of the parliament building.

An explosive belt was later found in the vicinity of the shrine and has been deactivated since.

7 people, attackers including, were reportedly killed and 10 others were left wounded in both attacks.

There were some conflicting reports going on earlier, with some claiming the authorities took control of the situation while others spoke of the shooting and and terrorists who allegedly barricaded themselves inside the parliament building, while also taking hostages.
