A NATO fighter aircraft F-16 attempted to approach the aircraft of Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoygu , over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea. The aircraft was forced to retire after a maneuver by the Russian Su-27.
The NATO aircraft attempted to escort the Russian minister on the way to Kaliningrad. After the F-16 tried to approach the airplane, Shoigu’s aircraft was met and escorted along by Russia’s Su-27 fighter jet. A reporter was on-board the Minister’s aircraft who filmed the whole encounter.
The jet displayed weapons to its NATO counterpart by tilting the aircraft, shaking its wings, when the F-16 pilot made the decision to retire.
Shoigu is on his way to a conference dedicated to security issues in the Western strategic direction, which will be held in Kaliningrad.
