Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to the accusations of alleged Russian interfering in the last year’s US presidential elections, saying there is no possible way and no legitimate reason that Russia would ever resort to this kind of things, especially not on a state level.

He also said hackers cannot make any of such attempts that would show visible impact on election results anywhere in the world.

He then reminded that some countries apparently decided to adopt a policy of intimidation upon realizing that all other attempts to put pressure in Russia ended up in vain, adding that Western governments and mainstream media seem to be completely ignorant towards some of Russia’s concerns, particularly those related to the latest NATO expansions alongside the border.

Russian President assured his country will not silently stand and watch how the US deploys its missile shield in Alaska and South Korea, adding that silence of the international community shows pure double standards, in additions to encouraging an arms race in the world.

Before concluding his speech, Putin reminded of Russia’s determination to defend the multi-polar world formation.

In the past, and especially during the time when Donald Trump was still maintaining a friendly tone with the Russian officials, Russia was often accused of interfering in the last year’s US presidential elections and even contributing to Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton.
