Syria: New Progress in the Desert and Deir Ez Zour

Units of the Syrian Army and its allies made new progress on Monday while conducting operations in the Syrian Desert, particularly between the areas of the third and the second oil platform. 

The clashes with ISIS terrorists eventually resulted in taking control over Al Doleiyyat area, located at the outskirts the of Al Humeima, close to the administrative borders of Deir Ez Zour and Homs provinces.

According to the field reports, a large number of ISIS terrorists were killed and their equipment destroyed during the operation. 

The Army’s engineering units are currently dismantling the mines and IEDs that were left over by terrorists.

In addition, the Syrian Air Force carried out series of airstrikes, targeting many ISIS gatherings and supply routes in Al Thardeh Valley, the neighborhoods of Al Howeiqa and Al Rashidiyeh of Deir Ez Zour city, the villages of Al Hosseiniyeh, Al Shola and Maadan and in the city of Al Muhassan in the province.

At least 18 ISIS terrorists were also killed in the vicinity of the graveyard areas and Al Panorama , the Syrian Army Regiment 137 and in Al Rashidiyeh neighborhood of Deir Ez Zour city.
