Syrian Forces Annihilate More Than 500 ISIS Terrorists, Make Huge Territorial Gains

Syrian army and its allies regained control of 37 towns and rural settlements, located between the administrative borders of Aleppo and Raqqah provinces, while also taking control of the entire area, stretching between the main thermal power station and Tal Daqwa, both of them located in the eastern countryside of Damascus province.

According to the field reports, army operations resulted in annihilation of more than 500 ISIS terrorists and even more of them left injured, in addition to destruction of six tanks, three drones and a BNP vehicle.

Engineering units of the Syrian Army are already dismantling the mines and improvised explosive devices that were left over by terrorists in the now liberated areas.

In the countryside of Homs province, army units and allies liberated the village of Abbasiyeh and a historical archaeological site of Queen Zenobia’s baths.

The army also made new gains in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour, once again targeting ISIS positions in Talet Brouk and Talet Al Rasad, located in the western part of Deir Ezzor City, destroying several of ISIS supply routes, gatherings and vehicles, in addition to downing a reconnaissance aircraft.

The army also foiled an ISIS infiltration at at the southern axis of Deir EZ Zour city, resulting in severe loses for terrorist side in terms of both, personnel and equipment.

Meanwhile, the US-backed so-called “Syrian Democratic Forces” announced to have taken control of the Band 17 and several residential areas in the northern part of the city of Raqqa.

They also managed to storm the city from the eastern side and took control of the Almushleb neighborhood and later from the western side after taking control of the Hercules Castle.
