Backed by the Syrian Air Force, units of the Syrian Army foiled several ISIS attacks on a bunch of military checkpoints at the southern axis of Deir Ez Zour city, on Thursday.

Heavy losses were inflicted upon ISIS terrorists in terms of personnel and equipment.

According to the field reports, Army units were involved in heavy clashes in the vicinity of the military checkpoints in Al Panorama, the surrounding areas of the Syrian Army Regiment 137, Tal Brouk and the driving school, located south of Deir Ez Zour.

In conjunction, the Syrian Air Force carried out intense strikes, targeting ISIS supply routes, gatherings and movements in Al Panorama, Al Rushdiyeh, Al Huweiqa, Huweijet Saqr, Al Matar Al Qadim, Al Mawared, Al Sinaa,Al Orfi, Ayash, Al Hamidiyeh, Al Ardi and the graveyard areas of Deir Ez Zour city.

Dozens of the terrorists were killed, among them Nizar Al Damami, a notorious Saudi terrorist and one of the top leaders of ISIS.

In addition, the strikes also resulted in destruction of weapons, ammunition and equipment, belonging to ISIS terrorists, including the tools and equipment used by terrorists to refine oil, stolen from the wells in Bukrus village, located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zor.

Sadly, once again local sources reported that ISIS terrorists executed two young men from the village of Hawayej Bomasaa, located in the western countryside of Deir Ez Zour province.
