Russia has deployed on the border with Ukraine three motorized infantry divisions, intended not for defense, but for an attack, stated the Chief of General Staff, General of Ukraine, Viktor Muzhenko.

“Organizational structure, armament and military equipment, shows that these Russian divisions are inherently war drums and designed for offensive operations.”

According to him, even the honorary titles of these divisions are aimed at providing psychological pressure .

“For example – Vinnytsa  144 Infantry Division, which is now stationed in Smolensk, in August 1944, stormed the city of Vinnytsa (now Vinnytsa is considered to be the domain of Clan Poroshenko). Russian third division, which is now deployed in Valuyki, during the Second World War took part in the battles for the liberation of Donbass, and received the honorary title of Volnovakha. Therefore, even the names of these parts speak about the possible course of action. Another, 150th Motorized Rifle Division, which is located in Novocherkassk is called Idritsa-Berlin, and in WWII took part in the fighting on the territory of Poland and in the storming of Berlin“, – said the press service of the General Staff.

“By giving divisions such names, the Russian Federation is trying to bring moral and psychological pressure on to the Ukraine, and the European Community, as well as demonstrating its far-reaching intentions,” – Viktor Muzhenko shared his fears.

Ed: Russian divisions carry historical names for a purpose, and are placed entirely on its own territory.
