Syria: ISIS Faces new Losses Against the Syrian Army, Attacks the Locals, Locals Strike Back

Units of the Syrian Army continued with fight against terrorism in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour on Tuesday, once again carrying out intense strikes on terrorist positions at the southern and western axis of Deir Ez Zour city, and the surrounding areas of the Military Airport.

According to the field reports, series of strikes were carried out by the Syrian Air Force, targeting ISIS hideouts and movements in the vicinity of Al Huseinia, Al Baghiliyeh, Al Panorama, Hattla, Marat, and Mazloum, inflicting severe losses upon terrorists in terms of personnel and equipment.

As the terrorists were losing against the Army, they started to put pressure on civilians.

Earlier on Tuesday, several mortar shells, fired by the terrorists, stationed in the vicinity of Deir Ez Zour city, landed in the city’s neighborhoods of Al Joura, Al Qosour, and Harabesh.

Although huge material damage was caused, there were fortunately no human casualties.

Meanwhile, the local sources confirmed that a group of locals attacked the regional ISIS Al Hisba Headquarters in the town of Al Hajin, located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour. At least one terrorist was killed and two were left injured.

The same sources also confirmed that a bunch of ISIS leaders have fled Deir Ez Zour so far, among them the deputy Emir of Hisba in Al Ashara area, named Hamed Al Nouri (also known as “Abu Hamza Al Qaraani), Bashar Al Maddah, Ibrahim Al Bandar, Mohammad Al Qassouba, Abdulhadi Al Halloum, and two Kazakh terrorists.
