Units of the Syrian Army thwarted two ISIS infiltration attempts on military checkpoints in the eastern countryside of Palmyra.

According to the field reports, units of the Syrian Army and its allies were involved in fierce clashes with ISIS terrorists since Friday morning, when the latter tried to make an incursion from direction of Manoukh village towards military checkpoints in Tuloul Al Tafha, located at the southern side of the town of Jib Al Jarrah in the eastern countryside of Palmyra.

Another infiltration attempt was later foiled on the same axis and 4 km east of Jibab Hamad.

Both infiltration attempts ended miserably as all of the invading terrorists were annihilated, in addition to their weapons, equipment and ammunition being destroyed.

The two infiltration attempts come only a day after ISIS terrorists suffered great losses in terms of personnel and equipment, when their positions in Badiyat Hmeimiyeh, located east of Palmyra, got raided by the Syrian Army.
