Dead and Injured After Knife Attacks in Germany and Finland [Updated]

At least one person has been killed and another one injured in a knife attack that took place in the German city of Wuppertal, according to media reports citing police sources.

The police are currently looking for suspect(s), with special forces units (SEK) already being dispatched to the scene.

About an hour before, at least 8 people (two fatally) were stabbed in the center of the Finnish city of Turku, the police said, adding that its units opened fire on a suspect. 

The attacks come a day after horrific terror attack that took place in the most crowded area in the Catalan city of Barcelona, claiming the lives of at least 13 people, children including, and leaving at least 100 more injured. 15 people are said to be in critical condition. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by ISIS.
