August 8 , 2017 – Fort Russ News –
In Ukraine, on Tuesday, August 8, an extraordinary call for service in the National Guard was launched. This was reported by the press officer of the National Guard Ruslan Muzychuk.
According to him, the decision on the early draft was made in connection with the shortage in the National Guard during the May call-up.
“The main reason for the current appeal is that the number of assignments is increasing, and therefore it is necessary to increase the number of conscripts to perform these tasks. Now, for example, the National Guard has identified 19 tasks that must be carried out,” he said.
According to the order of President Petro Poroshenko No. 178 of July 7, 2017, until August 31, persons of draft age – from 20 to 27 years old, will be required to serve in the army.
Over the past year and a half, 86 thousand people have been conscripted.
