The Syrian Army is continuing to siege ISIS terrorists in the countryside of Hama, while being supported by the Russian Air Force, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

According to the statement, the Syrian Army is close to completely surrounding the terrorists in the town of Uqayribat(a major regional ISIS hub) in Hama countryside, noting that the terrorists are constantly trying to flee the town by all means possible and head towards the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour.

Just this week, the Russian Air Force destroyed 730 terrorist sites in Syria, in addition to providing constant backup support for the Syrian Army, that has recently managed to cut several key ISIS supply routes, namely in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour.

The joint cooperation continued today as the Syrian Army made significant gains in the countrysides of the provinces of Homs and Hama.

According to the field reports, intense clashes with ISIS terrorists were raging on the axis of Tel Al Sawwaneh in the eastern countryside of Homs province, and on the axis of the village of Al Fasideh, located in eastern countryside of the town of Salamiyeh in Hama province.

The clashes ended up with encircling a large gathering of ISIS terrorists in the town of Uqayribat in Salamiyeh countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in terms of personnel and equipment.

The army units also managed thwart all ISIS attacks, aimed at foiling the siege on the terrorists, killing and injuring scores of the terrorists in the process.
