Syrian Forces Kills Scores of ISIS Terrorists in Deir Ez Zour, Locals Blow up an Ammunition Cache

Liberation of the key strategic town of Al Sukhneh, a major ISIS hub in the Syrian Desert, wasn’t the only achievement of the Syrian Army today.

Earlier on Sunday, Syrian forces destroyed several ISIS gatherings and positions in the eastern city of Deir Ez Zour and its surrounding areas.

According to the field reports, Army units were involved in clashes with ISIS and the affiliated terrorist groups at the southern axis of the city, particularly in the cemetery areas, Al Panorama, the surrounding areas of Deir Ez Zour Airport, and in the village of Al Baghiliyeh.

Scores of the terrorists were killed or left injured and their equipment and ammunition stockpiles, destroyed.

In addition, the Syrian Air Force carried out several airstrikes, destroying ISIS gatherings and vehicles in the area of Al Panorama, the factories, Junaid battalion, Liwa Al Tamin, Deir Ez Zour Electricity Company, and in the neighborhoods of Al Omal and Al Hamidyia and the villages of Al Tabani, Al Shmaita, and Al Bowaityia.

Meanwhile, local sources from the western countryside of Deir Ez Zour province said a group of locals from Al Masrab village managed to blow up an ammunition cache, belonging to ISIS terrorists.
