The Syrian Army and its allies have achieved significant progress in the provinces of Homs and Hama.

Earlier on Thursday, a control was taken over the town of Jani Elelbawi and the surrounding hills in the eastern countryside of Hama province.

The Army and its allies also regained control of the two strategic points, located at the oil pipelines east of the town of Salamiyeh, following intense clashes with ISIS terrorists.

In addition, the Syrian Army has also repelled an attack on its positions in the town of Sa’an, while the Syrian Air Force and artillery units targeted movements of terrorists in an area between Wadi Al Atheeb and the nearby village of Sheikh Hilal, in order to continue with laying the siege on  terrorists, stationed east of the town of Salamiyeh.

Currently, ISIS terrorists and their allies are being besieged in an area of more than 4,000 square kilometers.

It is noteworthy that ISIS attack was coordinated with FSA and Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (ex-Al Nusra Front), the two rival groups.

In the central province of Homs, elite units of the Syrian Army have dealt a decisive blow to ISIS terrorists by fully surrounding them in the central regions of the province.

Earlier today, contingents of Tiger Forces, the elite special forces unit of the Syrian Army, secured the key strategic areas of Jabal Al Dahk, Khirbet Al Talaa and Wadi Abu Qalah, and eventually ended up meeting with the units of the 5th Assault Corps north of the strategic town of Sukhneh, located east of Palmyra.

Although some of the ISIS elements still remain within Homs province, they are now fully besieged in an area of about 2,000 square kilometers.
