Syrian Army and its allies took control over several strategic hills, located within an area of up to 100 square kilometers in the southeastern countryside of the southwestern Syrian province of As Suwayda.

The gains come, following a large-scale operation which launched on Friday and which was aimed against ISIS positions, while mostly using various types of light and medium weapons.

So far, the results were positive as an area of about 100 square kilometers was liberated, in addition to establishing full control over Tal Assadi, Tal Jarin, Tal Al Rayahin and Bir Al Sabouni, after eliminating last gatherings of ISIS terrorists in the area.

The Army’s engineering units have already begun dismantling the mines and IEDs that were left over by ISIS terrorists.

The Army later continued its operations in direction of Bir Al Sout.
